B5 fanart: The Ambassadors

For anyone who's interested: I drew the G'Kar portrait first, then Londo, and finally Delenn, which probably shows in the quality of the drawings - also, it's been ages since I last tried something like this. :)

Delenn I think turned out really well; G'Kar and Londo are okay, although there seems to be something in their expressions that's not quite right... I can't seem to pinpoint the problem with either of them, so if anyone can spot it, feel free to point it out to me!

Yup, see 'em now! :) And looking very cool! :D I suck at drawing and such myself, so I'm always in awe when I see what other, more talented people can come up with! :D

Ooh, pretty.

Your Delenn is very nice and G'Kar look quite good to me. I love his red eyes! There is something a little off about Londo's expression but I can't see what the problem is either.
Not that I could draw anything half as good :)

About Londo: I think it's something with his eyes - maybe they're too close together, or too low on his face? I have no drawing technique whatsoever, by the way, so the result is always unpredictable. :)

These are awesome! I especially like the expressions on Delenn and Londo's faces, and G'Kar's eyes. It doesn't hurt that you've drawn my three favourite characters, either. ;)

Thanks! It was really cool to be drawing G'Kar in particular: all those lines and spots, so different from a human (or Centauri) face! Delenn's headbone and hair were very fun to do, too, as were Londo's eyebrows. :)

It doesn't hurt that you've drawn my three favourite characters, either. ;)

Oh, these are nifty!

I think it might be Londo's mouth? It looks like it's turned further toward the viewer than the rest of his head so it's throwing off the depth perception a bit... Or I could be wrong. My husband's the artist, not me!

Thank you! And - yes, you're right, the mouth could be it; or the relative size and location of eyes, nose and mouth in general... I'll have to try it again sometime - I feel a bit bad about not being able to do Londo justice. :)

Oh I don't know - some of us, like me, couldn't do this however many times I tried. Do think Londo's mouth should turn down a little more; he was a very bitter man, and I think this was reflected in his mouth.
G'Kar's mouth was maybe 'pinched' more? Deleen is 'spot on.'

Thank you! And yes, the mouth certainly has something to do with it - I just had a look at the original picture again, and Londo's look was indeed far sadder, less open than how it came out here. With G'Kar I'm now thinking the chin should've been longer. :)
