Aaannd we're here with a new installment of our Centauri Prime saga.
This chapter got away from me a little - at first, I had a hard time getting into the flow of writing it, and then once I did I couldn't make myself stop. But anyway, this is where the plot slowly starts to thicken, and for the first time while writing this story I really felt that storyteller's thrill of seeing some of the pieces begin to come together. I have everything plotted out pretty tightly, in the sense that I have a decent idea of what should happen in each chapter, who will be the narrator, when certain characters will have to do certain things to serve the plot and how to get them into a position where they can do it. I've never written longfic before so this is a whole new experience for me, but I'm amazed at how satisfying I'm finding it. Exhausting too - I'm going to sleep and waking up with this story - but so far it's been very much worth it. I also think I've passed the halfway mark where the number of chapters, and I'm loving that nervous thrill of hoping I can get it all tied together. *crosses fingers it will stay that way*
Anyway, hope you all enjoy this! By the way, the chapter after this one will be Londo again, for anyone who wonders. :)
Title: Though I Walk Through the Valley (8/?)
Fandom: Babylon 5
Category/Rating: gen-ish (with some background pairings), PG-13
Story summary: What really happened during those sixteen long years in which Londo waited for the prophecies to come true? A multi-chapter story, intended to bridge the gap between Londo's ascension to the throne and Centauri Prime's eventual liberation from the Drakh.
(In which Earth is in shock, and so is Vir, though not quite for the same reasons.)
