I often feel like I'm desperately lagging behind compared to the other writers, both in experience and in finding the right mind-set.
I can understand how you'd feel that way. I feel a bit of that having come to the show so late just as a fan and not a writer. All that fun and I missed it all. (I didn't even know about this show until some years after I was on LJ and a few people mentioned here and there!)
But I think it's a good thing, especially if you don't read too much of other writers and all the tons of analysis that I'm sure people have written through the years. You have a fresh perspective!
I'll check out the recs, thanks. I've got a bunch of hobsonphile's stories to catch up on too.
Hm, it may be me. Unless she's got more newbies that she's tormenting... erm, helping along. *g*
I did finish! And I was a left a bit disappointed. I *think*. But I'm guessing that's because I went through the whole darned thing just way too fast. (And while watching Battlestar Galactica too. Talk about fandom overload!) I started a rewatch and am up to S3 again. LOL! We'll see how I feel about it all now that I've had a bit more time to process it all.
