I think I'll include this in my personal 'canon', until it melds so closely with the official story that I will no longer be able to distinguish the two.

Thank you so very much, you couldn't possibly have given me a lovelier compliment than that!

About them almost being like real people: yes, I know what you mean! Like you, I fell into the fandom only recently, and not since my teenage years (when I was on a permanent high of emotion) have I felt so deeply for a show and its characters. Writing B5 stories is quickly becoming something I need, rather than just something I like. Still, I'm finding it quite hard also, mainly because it seems that nearly all of the good B5 stuff was written years ago. I often feel like I'm desperately lagging behind compared to the other writers, both in experience and in finding the right mind-set. So a response like yours means a lot to me, really!

The one where Londo comes offer somewhat of an apology to G'Kar and instead of drinking with him, G'Kar pours the drink back in the bottle and rejects him completely. That scene devastated me.

Oh, me too, though I did find it fitting at that point in the story. I don't think that either G'Kar or Londo was ready yet for a deep commitment like forgiving or asking forgiveness. And when the forgiveness (both the asking and the offering) finally came, the long wait made it that much more heartbreaking. If you love that scene so much, this ficlet of mine (http://amatara.livejournal.com/1765.html) might appeal to you as well. It's set in the episode you're referring to (which is "No surrender, no retreat"), and is essentially a fleshing out of the scene after the one you described, in which G'Kar shares a drink with Londo at last.

And now it would be a hit-or-miss effort in trying to find something worthwhile.

In that case, here are some of my personal favorites to keep you going. They're all Narn-and-Centauri-related, in case you're wondering; I'm kind of prejudiced that way. :)

Oh, just out of curiosity: are you the person for whom hobsonphile has been spoilering her B5 posts? Have you made it to the end of the series yet? :)
