So glad you liked this! And thank you for taking the time to let me know; any and all comments are precious to me, but comments on older stories always make me feel extra-glowy inside! *beams* Incidentally, I'd wondered for some time, because you left some comments on my LJ but only on the gen stories, never on the slash ones (which was probably coincidence but I'm a worrywart like that :) ) if there was something about my portrayal of Dale/Albert that didn't quite ring true to you. So I'm really happy to hear you enjoyed my take on them!

I love that story by dbkate so much! In fact I had a hard time writing my own version of it (which was in response to a prompt asking for another take on the scene) because I had dbkate's version so firmly stuck in my head. The only way I felt like I could pull it off was to really drastically change the tone - in this case: less fluff, more introspection. So yeah, I definitely understand how hard it can be to write an independent take on something that's already been touched upon by another writer, however different the two stories may end up being. :)

Now, pray tell me... where is this talk about Dale in leather pants? :)
