Oh, I am a disaster in typing on cellphone keys, so I sympathize! And I wasn't complaining about the length of your comment, if that's how this sounded like. Really, these are the kinds of questions I should ask a beta reader, but I don't have a regular beta for TP fics, and anyway, a beta is only one voice. (Plus, all my betas so far have been incredibly gentle with me. :) ) I kind of take you for the kind of person who'd speak their mind when asked (which is a compliment!) - so, there. I asked. :)
Character death's a tricky one for me, too. I won't often read it unless I know the author - if it's just a gratuitous "let's kill the characters for dramatic effect" without context or reason, I'll head out pretty fast. But if it fits canon, and serves a real storytelling purpose, and is kept low-key without overplaying the drama, I can really appreciate it. Kind of the same way that angst is my favorite genre, but whump I like only when done exactly right. If that makes any sense.
And I'm incredibly flattered you would read something you wouldn't otherwise read, just because it has my name on the package! That means a lot to me. Thank you.
