I suppose eventually I'll read the trilogy, but it just doesn't sound as appealing as my own ideas (that sounded right pretentious, didn't it?)
I'm thinking about a Drakh story right now...fascinating creatures, as undefined as David Sheridan. Does the trilogy go into their background at all?
