I do sometimes feel like the Sarek/Amanda relationship is pretty imbalanced, and I find it kind of problematic how often it seems like the illogical woman being indulged.
Of course they're probably not at their best in "Journey to Babel". All they really needed to push it into "that one Christmas" territory was for Sybok to turn up.
