Amatara

I loved this - it's a very emotional story, despite the coolness of Spock's perspective, probably because food has got so much to do with emotional subjects like family and home. Amanda's melancholy bliss at the chicken sandwich, and the unstated fact that she has forgotten what chicken really tastes like, is perfect and touching (and it's a very good phrase, incidentally).
