Um . . . wow. I love this. Seriously, I love this. The further I got into it, the more I loved it (and the more I wanted to finish my big damn plotty TP fic). The subtle hints at the UST were lovely and sad, and the entire piece was brilliantly executed. I love your voices (particularly, interestingly enough, your Lucy!), and it felt like a natural extension off the end of that scene. The damaged goods metaphor was lovely, because really it applies beautifully to either of them. Twin Peaks always did know how to give us beautifully screwed up people, didn't it?
I am so happy to see that there is more Dale and Albert fic floating around! This is probably the best thing that could have happened because of my story, and I'm so deeply happy that it's caused you to write this lovely little piece.
