Re: (Here via hobsonphile)

All that fun and I missed it all.

Yes, that's exactly how I feel too! But I figure I've been lucky, given that I discovered the show in such a stupidly random way I might easily have missed it altogether. I just saw the DVD's on amazon one day, priced incredibly cheap, so I bought them on a whim, hardly knowing anything about B5. Thank heaven for small favors, hm? :)

About the fresh perspective: well, I'm not entirely convinced I'll ever have a perspective that hasn't already been had by someone else in the fandom... But thank you for the optimism, I'll try to keep that in mind! :) Still, B5 is great in the sense that it is a relatively small fandom compared to others (like Star Trek, and X-Files too, I can imagine), which makes it just a little less overwhelming, and a little easier to wriggle your way in between all these other fans. At least, that's my impression.

Sorry to hear you were a bit disappointed by the ending. Any particular reason? Or was it just the general fuzziness of s5 compared to the whirlwind that was s4? Personally, I wasn't too fond of the first half of s5, but the final 10 episodes or so just devastated me. (Oh, Londo! Oh, John! Delenn! Lennier! Susan! Oh, oh, oh *sobs*)
