Thanks for the links! 'Lost in translation' I knew, but I didn't remember it being set on Celini. The other two were completely new to me - I may have read a lot on Londo's LJ, but certainly not all of it; given the sheer quantity, that would be quite impossible. :)

Do you know what impresses me the most about your writing? How all your fics are consistent, telling the same story, even referring to one another (the way 'Celini' refers to the incident from 'Lost in Translation'), and also contain all these tiny bits of canon that most of us had almost forgotten (like Dunseny - he's the servant from the Legions of Fire Trilogy, isn't he? And Londo's grandfather having committed those atrocities, which is also canon). You not only have an incredible memory, you also seem to be able to access whatever part of it you need whenever you need it - which is a wonderful gift to have, both as a fic writer and as a meta writer (or a beta, for that matter). I admire you to no end for it.

when you got the Londo/G'Kar hurt/comfort prompt, did you automatically assume Londo should be the hurt party, or did you think about it?

Ooo, a challenge question. I like that!
All right, let's do the conclusion first: I made the obvious choice, didn't I? *g*
The truth is that I didn't think about it, due to the specifics of the prompt: the request was for a s5 fic involving another attempt on Londo's life, so I just assumed the requester was hoping for Londo to be on the 'receiving end', so to speak. In retrospect, it wouldn't have been impossible to have the roles reversed, but the plot would then have come down to G'Kar getting hurt while trying to saving Londo's life, which would be overdoing it a little on the drama, I think.

On the other hand, had the prompt been less specific - I think is still would have gone for Londo. For two reasons.
- The rational one is that canon has never (as far as I remember) given us physical h/c-ishness between G'Kar and Londo with Londo being the hurt party. One might argue for the aftermath of 'Dust to Dust' (I kind of like the idea - I don't know if it was one of your fics I found that in, or someone else's - that G'Kar, after breaking down upon having that vision, carried Londo to Med Lab), but whatever happened there, it all took place off-screen. And 'Long Night of Londo Mollari' I wouldn't term h/c. On the other hand, we have had hints of canon h/c with G'Kar on the receiving end; the prison scenes in early s4 (which Andraste wrote about, as you kindly pointed out) as well as Londo dragging a hurt G'Kar out of his cell in 'Fall of Centauri Prime'. So, part of the appeal was seeking out uncharted territory.
- The emotional reason is much less complicated, and much more selfish: dearly as I love G'Kar, he doesn't trigger my "cuddle" reflex. While with Londo I do have that urge to go "aww, come 'ere you, where does it hurt, let me kiss it until it gets better and all those nasty Drakhs have gone away", etc, etc. *g* And since I'm still mostly in the self-indulging stage where writing is concerned - well, you get the picture. ;) Though there is an undeniable appeal to the thought of reversing the roles. Hmm... I might do something with that once. *rubs hands*

By the way, as I recall from your RPing as Londo - wasn't it mostly Vir who tended to get whumped? Followed by Londo, followed only then by G'Kar? So it isn't just me - or is it? *g*
Tell me, who would you have picked?

Incidentally - I'm serious when I say you are welcome to point out anything you don't like about any fic posted here. I'm starting to understand that the topic of con-crit is a difficult one, and I'm hesitant myself to do it with other people (unless they ask specifically), but I really would welcome it. It will not send me into convulsions; I think it'd even make me feel more secure about the things you do like. ;)
Actually, I've been meaning to ask you for a while about your opinion on this (critiquing in comments): do you like to get constructive criticism on your stories, or do you prefer not to, or not publicly?

Um-

*looks up at comment and scratches head*
Note to self: learn to be concise, or just put stuff in an e-mail. Gah.
