Aww, you're welcome. Thank you for the request: it gave me the perfect excuse to try something like this, and post it, too! You don't know how much fun I had thinking up possible scenarios - and you may not even want to know all the things I considered putting in there, and then chucked out again. ;)
It's in character, and angsty and fun at the same time, and I like how it connects with canon, with the Regent saving Londo because, of course, the Drakhs still need him. I love that it is h/c, naturally, and I love the snark.
Actually, the "fun" aspect (some of the scenes, I think, are closer to comedy than anything I've written before) was a surprise even to me. It just came naturally with the snark, I guess, and given that I knew in advance both of them were going to be just fine, it seemed fitting to mix some light-heartedness in with the angst. And, even though I didn't want to have too much plot, except for what I needed to do the set-up and the conclusion, I had fun putting in these little references to past (Cartagia) and present (the Regent and the Drakh). As for the h/c in general and the ending in particular, I had to force (like, reeeeally force *g*) myself not to make it any mushier, but I think it's good I kept it down. Dosage, as we agreed, is everything. ;)
