Kind of confused about how my fic could affect you posting yours?

Sorry about the confusion, I was just trying to combine inquiring about your fic with a (badly worded, maybe) compliment? I've been checking the comms for some time hoping/expecting to see your story posted there, but I was also fretting a bit about finishing my fic after yours, because, well, I'd probably feel a little - um, insignificant in comparison? So I just meant I took less time polishing this story than I might have otherwise, for that reason, and confusing statement of confusion was basically me being awed at the epic you wrote. Only, language barriers being what they are, it doesn't always comes out as smooth/obvious/funny as I want it to...
