Well, this fic was therapeutic writing more than anything else, so yeah, me too. *passes handkerchief*
But seriously, even though I was aware it'd be a dark, dark show, a lot of the twists still shocked me completely. Also, what got to me the most wasn't the big Ianto drama (which certainly seems to be the most bemoaned, and which I found sad but not painfully so - I'm rather fond of dramatic death scenes, myself) but rather everything else. Frobisher seeing no other option except - you know - all but undid me, and then the thing with Steven was just too much. (And the entire time I kept thinking "Dammit, Jack, don't just stand there looking all weepy while the kid dies, just move and do something! Hug him! Whatever!" Hence, the fic. Which is more meta than fic, really, but - yeah. Therapeutic. :) )
