Well, let's just say I'm everything but shocked by your approving my mention of Quark. ;) I wouldn't quite call him my favorite character - at this point I'm still very much an ensemble fan where DS9 is concerned, without having any clear favorites - but it took me by surprise how much I've been enjoying his scenes. :) I'll certainly keep an eye on your fics about him when I've gotten a bit further into the series! Is your idol_reflection essay too spoilery for me, you think, or would it be safe to read?

(Incidentally, we've also just started watching Farscape, which we'l probably intersperse with seasons 2 and 3 of DS9 over the coming weeks/months. This promises to be all kinds of wonderful! :) )
