Thank you, so glad you enjoyed this! And if it managed to bring you a step closer to finishing that post-canon fic of yours, that makes me even happier - because I'm really, really looking forward to reading that one. :) I'm starting to see what you meant by having to re-watch a single scene about 80 times, because I also struggled quite a bit to get the voices right. And then the language - I had to be very careful not to mix any obvious Briticisms in, and not being a native speaker of English didn't make that any easier. *wipes virtual sweat from forehead* But I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, for a first attempt!

Beautifully screwed up people: I couldn't have found a better way of putting it. I kind of have this thing when writing fic where I pick a scene where the characters are at their most vulnerable, and then pit them against each other. And this particular episode gave a lovely glimpse of Albert and Cooper without their respective masks on, which is always a yummy starting point for fic. :)

I love that you call them "Dale and Albert". :) I usually don't think of Cooper by his first name, but it sounds all kinds of sweet when hearing it said like that. I'm wondering - is there any kind of "official" designation of the ship? I've seen Cooper/Rosenfield, but that sounds so clinical, and Cooper/Albert has the right feel to me because that is what they call each other, but is weird because it has one first and one last name. Also, if you have any other fics in your "Twin Peaks" folder that you can recommend, I'd love to hear them. I already found some on Fanfiction.Net, as well as the [livejournal.com profile] _twinpeaksfic comm and the Bookhouse Boys (http://www.ravenswing.com/~tiriel/title.html) archive (though much of the latter is on the kinky side for my tastes :) ). Any recs below NC-17 are very welcome, though!
